High-Minded Events owner and founder, Phil Cooper, has built a reputation as the standard-bearer for hosting cannabis-industry events in Illinois. My only complaint was that every High-Minded Events production had been in the Chicagoland area, and for those of us in central and southern Illinois, that made for a long trip. Fortunately, the location of High-Minded Events’ next event, Great Harvest 2023, will give more central and southern Illinoisans a chance to experience a Phil Cooper event.

The Great Harvest 2023 is scheduled for 6-10 p.m. October 12, 2023, at the Mackinaw Valley Vineyard. The Mackinaw Valley Vineyard is located at 33633 Illinois Route 9 in Mackinaw, which is almost a center point between Bloomington, Peoria, Springfield, and Champaign. While at Great Harvest 2023, guests will be able to engage with 40 leading Illinois brands, savor hosted cuisine, enjoy crafted cannabis mocktails, groove to live music from Bootjack Road, and partake in fall-themed cannactivities. Cannactivities include creating four pipes, experiencing a rosin press activation, glass blowing, and rolling station.
Great Harvest 2023 also offers chances for guests to gain exclusive insights latest strains, products, and tech innovations that are shaping the future of the industry, as well as connect with fellow budtenders from all over the state to “share experiences, best practices, and create lasting connections that could lead to amazing opportunities.” Guests also have the chance to pick up unique industry swag and other surprises.
