Some cultivators are betting big on the preroll category. Progressive Treatment Solutions believes in the format enough that it has spun out an entirely new label to produce them. Front Porch will eventually be producing sativa, hybrid, and indica preroll pack options, but its first product is the half-gram mixed-strain Hard Rocker infused preroll.
Picked up at Consume Marion, this mixed strain infused preroll tested at 0.28% CBG, 1.84% CBGa, 0.35% CBD, 2.93% Delta-9-THC, 45.87% THCa, and 51.27% total cannabinoids. Terpenes were 1.45% of the total weight with β-caryophyllene, linalool, guaiol, and limonene being the heaviest.
I opened the tube to find a stubby half-gram joint with a crutch as long as the smokable portion. The aroma from the tube was roasty on the top end with notes of black pepper, cheese, and malt that was followed by a sweet floral combination of lavender, magnolia, orange blossom, and cream.
The orange flavor came to the front on the palette, changing from less floral towards fruitier. Notes of lavender and a finish of malt gave the flavor some additional depth, but the fresh orange flavor really dominated.
Instantly calming, the Hard Rocker infused preroll wiped the slate clean in my head, dissolving some of the worries that had been plaguing me for the day and leaving my headspace open and relaxed. My mood was lifted by the “everything will be alright” calm that the Hard Rocker provided.
Relaxed enough to get out of my head but not so much that I was weighed down, this preroll was a great fit for a night out or a social setting, even if its tiny size didn’t make it a shareable option. Physically, the Hard Rocker provided a heavy pressure at my forehead and behind my eyes, initially, which spread into euphoric waves across my whole body.
