Apple Fritter is one of those strains that has become so popular in recent years that it seems to be everywhere. Having sampled it in Michigan and Missouri, I wanted to complete the Midwestern trifecta by picking up this well-known cultivar from Kaviar at Star Buds Burbank.
Apple Fritter is a hybrid cross of Sour Apple and Animal Cookies created by Lumpy’s Flowers. This batch of flower tested at 0.134% THCVa, 0.274% CBCa, 0.410 CBGa, 1.162% Delta 9 THC, 25.122% THCa, and 27.102% total cannabinoids. Terpenes were 2.267% of the total weight with β-caryophyllene, limonene, α-humulene, linalool, and α-pinene being the heaviest.
The eighth consisted of three popcorn-shaped flowers, each slightly larger than actual popcorn. The buds were predominantly light green with some purple splotches, and they had a light trichome presence. They felt dense to the touch and had a slightly dry surface but still contained a considerable fluffiness after grinding. The jar also contained some smaller than popcorn-sized pieces that rounded out the weight.
Upon opening the jar, distinct notes of pear and dough stood out, followed by a savory scent with hints of oregano, black pepper, and garlic. In terms of flavor, there was a balance between sweet and savory, with hints of pear, cream, and perfume at the start, and a black pepper flavor on the finish.
After dosing Apple Fritter, I immediately noticed its anxiety-busting effects, which left me with a clear and focused mind. However, I was focused on the waves of pressure that traveled down from my head and into my body. The pressure eventually transformed into a tingling sensation that was mostly felt in my core.
This batch of Apple Fritter was much more physical than cerebral, and while the effects of Apple Fritter were relatively short-lived, the experience itself was enjoyable, making this strain a great choice for a quick smoke session. For more Illinois News Joint reviews, visit here.
