The genetic history of various strains is a topic of deep conversation in many cannabis-enthusiast circles. Sometimes, it’s the mystery of not knowing where a cultivar came from that can drive fame. That’s the case with the newest Cookies-related drop under the Revolution Cannabis label, Project 4510. I headed up to Enlightened Mount Prospect to pick up a sample and check out the flower behind the mystery.
Project 4510 is an indica-leaning hybrid cross of unknown origin, originally from Grandiflora Genetics. This batch of flower tested at 0.47% THC, 23.13% THCa, and 23.86% total cannabinoids. The indicated terpenes were β-caryophyllene, limonene, β-myrcene, α-humulene, and linalool.
This eighth came as one large pointed cola top. A vibrant-green and royal-purple flower with thick fire-orange hairs and milky trichomes, the bud was well trimmed with only light sugar leaf remnants at the creases. The bud had a slow bounce back when pinched, an indication of how fresh the flower was.
The aroma from the jar was light with hints of dough, gas, and hops working together to create a hot beer scent with a light but distinguishable cucumber smell on the finish. Project 4510 carried a heavy doughiness on the inhale, a note that Revolution has perfected in much of its genetic library. The exhale carried gas and a skunky hash note at the finish that added some complexity to the flavor.
Project 4510 induced a racy mental state, splintering my train of thought into many directions and not allowing me to focus on anything. This had the effect of locking me into my head and inducing a rush of paranoid thinking, something I rarely experience. Slightly overstimulated mentally but physically relaxed with some noticeable inflammation relief in my back and joints, Project 4510 had a contrasting mental/physical profile.
Overall, Project 4510 had an interesting flavor profile while the effect profile was more racy and leaning than I had planned for. For more Illinois News Joint reviews, visit here.
