We’re back with another Medical Patient Homegrown Review from a registered medical-cannabis patient new to this educational series. John Grow #36 tells us about Bahama Runtz, a signature strain bred by G.O.A.T. Genetics.
Bahama Runtz is a 50/50-hybrid cross between Solfire’s Bahama Mama and ABF’s S1 Runtz. The plant takes 9-10 weeks to flower and contains the primary terpenes limonene, alpha-pinene, linalool and beta-caryophyllene. The Bahama Runtz buds, sticky to the touch, are olive green, gray, and dark purple and covered with creamy trichomes, creating solid bag appeal.
The aroma hits with a mix of sweet fruit and berries with back notes of gassy pineapple, sour pine, mixed fruit, and hops. The flavor mostly matches the aroma but with stronger gas, sweet fruit, vanilla, and mixed berries on the inhale and a pungent lightly-peppered gas and sour berries on the exhale. The aroma and flavor also carry back notes of a sour citrus that somehow adds to the sweetness.
The effects land smack-dab in the middle, which makes Bahama Runtz extremely suited for patients searching that true hybrid strain. The uplifting head high is relatively clearheaded, especially early in the buzz, but at heavier dozes, the high turns less cerebral and more relaxed. Either way, the head high is not too energetic or lethargic but rather stuck right in the middle of chill mode. The body buzz starts in the core and works its way out until a floating sensation takes over. The body buzz also hits that hybrid middle with strong relaxing effects to the muscles and joints but without that unmotivated or couchlocked feeling. Late in the buzz, especially with multiple doses over hours, both the head high and body buzz becomes more sedative.
