After working in the Missouri market and shopping in Michigan, I am sad to say that the Illinois selection of infused baked goods is miniscule by comparison. Enliven, a brand by Illinois-based Krown Craft Cannabis, offers a selection of baked good with its new line of infused classic cookies. The team here already reviewed the Snickerdoodle and Chocolate Chip flavors, and I am rounding out the trio of flavors with the Peanut Butter Cookies.
Enlivens Peanut Butter cookies came as a package of 10 cookies with 10mg of THC per cookie. The ingredients are brown pure cane sugar, enriched flour, peanut butter, shortening (soybean oil, fully hydrogenated palm oil, palm oil,mono and diglycerides, TBHQ, and citric acid), natural and artificial flavor, beta-carotene (pro vitamin A), egg, whole milk, vanilla flavor, baking soda, kosher salt, sunflower lecithin, cannabis distillate, and potassium sorbate.

The sweet scent of doughy peanut butter hit the nose as soon as I opened the bag. Each cookie was about two inches across and carried a soft, crumbly texture. The flavor was classic peanut butter cookie, a blend of sweet peanut butter, creamy dough, and butter. There wasn’t a hint of cannabis flavor, and that combined with the smaller size made these easy to over indulge on.
The effects set in after roughly an hour, opening with a clean, clearheaded, mindscape accompanied by a tingling sensation of euphoria concentrated at my extremities. Eventually the experience became heavier as my mind became relaxed but hazy, and the physical sensations spread throughout my core as a calming warmth.
