When Cookies finally brought its label to Illinois dispensaries, the brand obviously chose some of its most popular strains for the job. Cultivars such as Heavy Eye, Pacman, and 2090 Sh*t were already known sellers before Cookies brought them here. I recently picked up from Enlightened Mount Prospect a sample of 2090 Sh*t, called 2090 here in Illinois, to see what makes the cut so popular.
2090 is a hybrid cross of The Snowman and Y Life. This batch of flower tested at 0.81% THC, 23.92% THCa, and 25.46% total cannabinoids.
One medium-sized branch-tip flower as well as a handful of smaller popcorn sized flowers came in the bag. Bright-lime green with large-dense patches of rust-colored hairs, these flowers carried a trichome frost that was solidly milky throughout. Dense but squishy between the fingers, 2090 left a hashy greasiness on my fingertips when handled.
The aroma inside the mylar was a dense blend of cream and spicy herbal tones with candy-sweet cereal milk lurking underneath scents of green bell pepper, jalapeño, and sweet mint. Despite the creamy aspect that carried into the flavor profile, the overall experience was crisp on the palate with the mint and freshly picked jalapeño leading the way. The overall flavor profile was light and did not linger.
2090 induced a warm, calming buzz in my head and chest almost immediately, while a clear minded headspace followed closely behind. My joints and known problem spots benefitted from an inflammation reduction.
Productive and focused, 2090 was a mental Work Sativa with a relaxing and pain relieving indica-body buzz. Long lasting effects and clearheadedness made 2090 a good way to start the day. For more Illinois News Joint reviews, visit here.
