The last run of Bedford Grow strains I reviewed, including Emerald City Kush, Cheese Wiz, and Flying Monkeys were all Oz Kush-based creations. Amnesia Coast is the latest foundation for the new strain creations from Bedford Grow. The first from my list of new selections is Mochi Sour, which I picked up as a 2-pack of half-gram prerolls from Maribis Springfield’s new location on 2451 Denver Drive.
Mochi Sour is a hybrid cross of Grease (Sauce and Face Off Bx2) and Amnesia Coast. This preroll pack tested at 0.63% CBGa, 0.73% THC, 26.13% THCa, and 27.49% total cannabinoids. Terpenes were 2.87% of the total weight with terpinolene, α-pinene, β-pinene, limonene, and β-caryophyllene being the heaviest.
Both of the stubby half-gram joints were dense but burned clean and evenly after some rolling between my fingers. The jar carried orange and pine forest while a dry pull and closer olfactory inspection provided notes of grapefruit, sour melon, and bright orange peel notes.
The flavor carried more of the sweet and tangy fresh melon alongside orange peel and a roasted cinnamon finish that got stronger the further the joint burned down. The flavor was strong, sticking to the palate for a long time after the joint was out.
Pressure focused at my eyes set in first before spreading into the rest of my head, becoming a classic-headband tightness. My mental space opened as Mochi Sour provided a sense of calm, a peaceful clarity, and a smile. My energy levels remained consistent giving these prerolls the flexibility to work as a motivational tool for working on a project or as a relaxing break.
Overall this was a calm and easygoing hybrid experience paired with an interesting new flavor profile for Bedford Grow. For more Illinois News Joint reviews, visit here.
